Kevin Haynes has left plenty of marks on opposing ballcarriers.

Now, the linebacker from Battle Ground has left a mark on the Central Washington record books.

Saturday, Haynes became the all-time leader in solo tackles for both Central Washington and the NCAA Division-II Great Northwest Athletic Conference. He had six tackles, including three solo, in a 34-23 win over Azusa Pacific as the No. 8-ranked Wildcats improved to 9-0.

Haynes now has 210 solo tackles, passing former Wildcat Blake Walker for the GNAC career record.

Haynes, a quick 228-pound linebacker, has led the team in total tackles each of the three previous seasons. Last season, he earned Division-II All-American honors and was GNAC defensive player of the year.
