Letter: Styles change over time

Further to Wesley Banks’ recent thoughts on the escalation of the price of a coffee along with the decline on novelty of tattoos as carnival sideshows, I note a couple other style changes (“Spend money, see the tattoos,” Aug. 26, Our Readers’ Views).

Setting out on a recent trip to Target, my husband felt the need to change out of a pair of work pants with a hole in them. Yet, passing another customer in the lot, we noted her trendy jeans with multiple slit tears in them. And then, of course, the other fads over the past decade of wearing flannel pajama bottoms out and about, and tennis shoes without laces. Guess it’s all in the way you own it.
