Letter: Don’t bear false witness vs. Trump

In Mike Johnson’s Aug. 26 letter, “Demonstrate faith in dark times,” he pleads for anti-Trump people to take action against the “hate and evil that spews from the White House.” Johnson tried to use religion in his own hate letter. He also tried to tie President Donald Trump to Nazis, the Ku Klux Klan and white supremacists in his diatribe, none of which is true.

I suggest that Johnson search his own faith and remember to not bear false witness nor foment violence. The Columbian assisted the “hateful” left by printing inflammatory accusations regarding our president. The combination of a left-wing press and delusionary critics might well help to create an atmosphere of further violence and anarchy, which we now find ourselves approaching. Hypocrisy rules the opinion section of The Columbian.
