Man suspected of rape, child sexual abuse in Oregon arrested

EUGENE, Ore. — A 42-year-old man is back in Oregon after authorities in Indiana arrested him in connection with the rape and sexual abuse of a girl under the age of 12.

The Register-Guard reports   Travis Wayne Young was transferred from Indiana to Lane County Jail on Sunday. He has been charged with two counts of rape, three counts of sodomy, two count of unlawful sexual penetration and two counts of sexual abuse. According to court records, the alleged abuse took place between 2011 and 2014 in Lane County, in western Oregon.

Young pleaded not guilty to all charges on Tuesday.

His pre-trial hearing is scheduled for Oct. 11.
