The Fort Vancouver Regional Library District is seeking submissions from young authors for its annual Imagined Ink contest for writers in grades six through 12.

A panel of judges will select winners in middle school (grades six, seven and eight) and high school (grades nine through 12) categories. Online submissions will be accepted until Oct. 1.

Malinda Lo, award-winning author of young adult novels, will be the featured speaker at the awards celebration at 2 p.m. on Oct. 21 at Vancouver Community Library, 901 C St.

Lo also will present a teen writing workshop at 10:30 a.m.
