Non-league football: Tumwater 56, Columbia River 6

Tumwater returned four interceptions for touchdowns to defeat Columbia River 56-6.

The Columbia River offense was held to just 5 first downs and 85 total yards.

Dylan Pain rushed for 101 yards and scored 3 touchdowns and Hunter Baker rushed 26 yards and a touchdown for the Thunderbird offense.

River’s defense yielded 312 yards on the ground to Tumwater while only giving up 16 passing yards.

River took advantage of a bad Thunderbird snap on a punt to lead to the Chieftains only successful drive halfway through the fourth quarter. Quarterback Julian Garcia tossed an 11-yard pass to Kenan Eaton for the score.
