VANCOUVER — A Vancouver manufacturer and distributor of gardening supplies is sending some of its products to survivors of Hurricane Harvey.

Sunlight Supply, based in the Fruit Valley neighborhood, announced Friday it will send two truckloads of fans and dehumidifiers, worth $160,000 total, to residents in the Texas Gulf Coast who were hit with record rainfall and floods when the hurricane made landfall.

President Craig Hargreaves said the company felt its products would “go a long ways” in these times and encouraged others to follow suit, if they haven’t already.

“We encourage other businesses to do what they can to support the relief effort and donate money or products that deliver the assistance our fellow Americans need in this very difficult time they’re living through right now,” he said in a prepared statement.
