People in business

• Colby Reade has been named director of communications for the M.J. Murdock Trust. Most recently a senior account supervisor with creative agency CMD, Reade has a 14-year background in communications, including work on behalf of brands such as Microsoft, Jeld-Wen and The Portland Clinic. He is a Portland native.

• Justin McClellan has joined the sales staff at Wolcott & Stinson real estate services as associate broker. Wolcott & Stinson’s offices are at 119 S. Parkway Ave., Suite 201, in Battle Ground.

New business

• Lifeline Connections has leased space for a coffee shop at 9317 N.E. Highway 99, Suite M, and will occupy it starting Oct. 1.

• Basics NW, a clinic specializing in autism services, has opened in Crestwood Business Park, 11818 S.E. Mill Plain Blvd., Suite 203, in Vancouver, serving clients age 2 through adulthood.
