Vancouver – Why Racing is hosting a fun-run this weekend to raise money for hurricane and flooding victims in Florida and Houston and those affected by wildfires in the Columbia Gorge, Oregon, California and Montana.

The Run for America begins at 9 a.m. Sunday at Columbia Landing, 110 Columbia Street. The no-frills event will feature 5K, 10K and half-marathon courses. The event will be non-supported, which means walkers and runners must obey traffic signals and bring their own water.

There is no entry fee to run. Instead, the American Red Cross will be on hand to accept donations.

WareHouse ’23 is offering $20 brunch after the event and will donate 50 percent of the money raised to the Red Cross. The brunch includes bottomless mimosas, bloody marys and Deschutes Brewery beer.

Preregistration and course maps are available online, www.active.com/vancouver-wa/running/distance-running-races/run-for-america-2017.
