Letter: Learn facts about Trump

I’m responding to Daphne Kivinen’s Sept. 11 letter “Trump pitches in.” Perhaps Kivinen is the one who needs to check facts. Yes, most people are aware of the financial contributions President Donald Trump has made. However, these contributions are small in comparison to his history of stealing and lying, which started long before the election.

Trump cheated the students of Trump University. He cheated lots of small business contractors who did business with his businesses.

Trump’s lies are well-documented. He lied about the number of people who attended his inauguration. He lied to coal miners in West Virginia when he said he would bring coal back. He has shown that he has no respect for women or minorities, or handicapped persons. He has tried to destroy the environment of our beautiful country by removing regulations that protect the natural world. He has appointed totally unqualified people for high positions in his administration. His promise to build a wall between the U.S. and Mexico has been a complete joke.

Trump’s relatively small monetary contribution does not compensate for his lying and thievery. I hope that Kivinen will learn the facts.
