Letter: Put perpetrator to work

There are people who know who started the Eagle Creek Fire. After the fire was started, the teenager who started it asked what he should do about it. I have an idea — he can get out there and fight the fire he started. That would be a quick answer to his question.

He should be made available to help fight any fire that starts in our woods and destroys the beauty of the Gorge as well as homes, businesses and hiking trails.

What about the wildlife that suffered from that fire, and the smoke that’s resulted from that fire? People who had planned to be outside, kept inside. Football games were put off. People who planed to hike canceled their plans.

His parents should be involved in the cost of the fire, as well as helping fight the fire.
