Letter: Bring carousel to waterfront

A Columbian story earlier this month answered the question “what happened to the carousel?” (“Another go-round for the Jantzen Beach Carousel?” Sept. 8).

Kudos to Restore Oregon for saving it. What a great piece of history and art they are keeping until a suitable home can be found. It would be a fantastic feature to Vancouver’s new waterfront. It would be fitting to keep it here, where it was a part of the community’s history. I can only hope that it can be integrated into the new waterfront scheme, as it could be the cherry atop a vibrant waterfront, attracting locals as well as tourists.
