PORTLAND — NORPAC Foods notified Oregon employment officials last week that the company will close its Hermiston Foods plant in November and eliminate 199 seasonal jobs.
The company announced the closure in July. The East Oregonian reported at the time that the closure was tied to NORPAC’s decision to sell off canning operations to Seneca Foods Corp.
In July, NORPAC also said it will eliminate 223 seasonal jobs in Salem, Ore., because of the sale.
