Deadlines to register to vote coming up

Clark County — The Clark County Elections Office is reminding residents that the last day for mail-in voter registrations to be eligible for the upcoming general election is approaching.

The last day to submit a mail-in voter registration form and be allowed to cast a ballot in the Nov. 7 general election is Tuesday, Oct. 10.

Online registration applications can be submitted up to 11:59 p.m. Monday, Oct. 9, according to a county news release. Eligible residents can register by visiting the Clark County Elections Office website at clarkvotes.org and clicking on “MyVote” to register online.

Current registered voters who wish to change their address online must do so before midnight on Monday, Oct. 9, for the Nov. 7 general election, according to the news release. The Clark County Elections Office will be open until 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 9, to accept address changes made by telephone or in person.

Citizens who are not currently registered to vote in the state of Washington have additional time and may register to vote by appearing in person at the Clark County Elections Office, 1408 Franklin St., Vancouver through Monday, Oct. 30, according the news release.

According to the news release, the state voters’ pamphlet will go out Oct. 7. The local voters’ pamphlet, published separately from the state voters’ pamphlet for substantial cost savings, will go out on Oct. 13.

Sample ballots are currently available on the Clark County Elections Office website at clarkvotes.org.
