Central Park — The Clark College Foundation named Columbia Credit Union and Betty and Glenn Tribe as its 2017 Presidential Award recipients. Betty Tribe, a 1954 Clark grad, and Glenn Tribe, a 1952 Clark grad, met while attending the college, and have continued to donate to the school and its students since graduating. They set up the Frances Tribe Memorial Nursing Scholarship Fund, named for Glenn’s mother, another Clark graduate. It is awarded through the Community Foundation for Southwest Washington. They established the Betty and Glenn Tribe Scholarship Fund, which is also distributed through the community foundation. Columbia Credit Union, with 13 branches in Clark County is being saluted for its leadership in education. “Columbia Credit Union is a leader in taking proactive steps to ensure we have a citizenry that is prepared, trained and engaged for this region’s exciting future,” Lisa Gibert, president and CEO of the foundation, said in a release. “Their leadership in education at Clark College has allowed us to enhance the equipment to our pharmacy technician and STEM programs.”
