Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler, R-Battle Ground, is hosting an event Oct. 16 to record veterans’ stories for the Library of Congress. The event is in partnership with the Veterans History Project.

“This is a small way we can show our veterans that we acknowledge all they’ve been through by listening to their accounts of war, thank them for their sacrifice for our country’s freedom, and honor them by allowing future generations to hear directly from our nation’s heroes,” Herrera Beutler said.

Event details are not yet available, but Southwest Washington veterans interested in participating can RSVP by contacting Louise Fendrich at 360-695-6292 or louise.fendrich@mail.house.gov.
