Letter: Say no to oil terminal

It is sure great during our beautiful days of sunshine and blue skies to look up and see the trees and smell the fresh air, knowing that the Northwest is a great place to live.

But it’s sad to see the oil trains with their smelly crude oil stinking up the air that we breathe.

I feel sorry for the children growing up under this type of environment on the backs of the rich who are pushing for this oil terminal in Clark County. We must all stand together and fight for our rights for clean air. I just hope to God that this oil terminal does not go through. We need to protect our precious air and realize what a gift we have.

Do you remember what it was like when the fires started in the Gorge and smoke filled the air? That is just a sample of what will happen. Say no to the oil terminal.
