Vancouver – Interested applicants for an open position on the Civil Service Commission now have until 5 p.m. Oct. 20 to submit their applications.
The commission operates as an employment system for government entities to establish rules that govern hiring and disciplinary actions. The vacancy is for a six-year term. Applicants are required to have lived in Vancouver for at least three years. The commission meets from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. on the third Wednesday of each month.
