Eagle Scouts

The Fort Vancouver District of Boy Scouts of America has announced names of members who passed their boards of review in December and advanced to the rank of Eagle Scout.

Aaron Angelo Baker of Boy Scout Troop 310, a sophomore at Skyview High School, led a group of Scouts, Skyview students and adult volunteers in building replacement doors for Skyview’s band department, with 343 volunteer hours. Aaron, 16, is the son of Christopher and Catharine Baker.

Eric Whiting Firl of Boy Scout Venture Crew 381 led a group of Scouts and adult volunteers in building bat boxes for the city of La Center, for 44 volunteer hours. Eric, 16, is a junior at La Center High School and attending Cascadia Technical Academy. He is the son of Tom and Staci Firl.

David Michael Neal of Boy Scout Troop 328 led a group of Scouts and adult volunteers in building raptor perches for the StreamTeam, with 124 volunteer hours. David, 17, is the son of David and Crista Neal and is a junior at Prairie High School.

Jordan McKenna Parkes of Boy Scout Venture Crew 14 led a group of Scouts and adult volunteers in building shelving and storage for the Y-Care at the YMCA, with 120 volunteer hours, and also purchased toys for use in the care center. Jordan, 17, is the daughter of Julie and Todd Parkes. She is a junior at Columbia River High School.

John David Sbur of Boy Scout Troop 479, a junior at Skyview High School, led a group of Scouts and adult volunteers in building a pellet rifle course at Clark Rifles, with 197 volunteer hours. John is the son of Cathy and Dave Sbur.

Joel Henry Weinmaster of Boy Scout Troop 328 led a group of Scouts and adult volunteers in sponsoring a safety fair at Harney Elementary School, with 121 volunteer hours. Joel, 15, is the son of Michelle and Dan Weinmaster and is a freshman at Vancouver School of Arts and Academics.
