Prep highlights: Lambert’s walk-off lifts La Center

Tom Lambert’s walk-off RBI single capped a two-run seven inning in La Center’s come-from-behind 12-11 victory over Castle Rock in Friday’s 1A Trico League baseball game.

Lambert’s hit was the 36th of the game in an offensive outburst from both teams.

La Center posted 19 hits, including four players with at least three hits (Hayden Williamson, Irving Alvarez, Jack Ossenkop and Beau Castleberry).

La Center trailed by as many as 11-6 and entered the seventh down 11-10.

Castleberry’s RBI single scored Williamson to tie the game at 11-11 before Lambert’s game-winner.

• Janessa Lindsey, Heritage softball, hit a three-run walk-off home run in the bottom of the seventh inning to defeat defending 4A GSHL winner Camas.

• Olivia Grey, Woodland softball, threw a four-inning perfect game in a 15-0 win over Mark Morris.

• Carleigh Risley, Woodland softball, went 4 for 4 with two runs, a double and four RBI.

• Sarah Jenkins, Ridgefield softball, went 4 for 5 with three runs, a double and RBI for Spudders in a 14-1 win over R.A. Long.

• Nole Thompson, Washougal baseball, gave up one earned run over six innings with seven strikeouts. in a 5-3 win over Woodland. He also had a triple.

• Carter Morse and Quadrese Teague, Hudson’s Bay baseball, hit home runs in seven-run third inning as Bay held on to beat Prairie 8-7.

• Micah Kinnunen, Hockinson boys track and field, won the 100 and the 200 and placed second in the long jump at the Bruin Invitational at White Salmon.

• Cassie Baldino , Columbia River softball, went 2 for 2 with two runs, double and two RBI for River in a 9-3 win over Hockinson.

• Daniel Maton, Camas boys track and field, won the 800 (1:59.30) and 1,500 (3:55.71) at the McMinnville Invitational.

• Trey Knight, Ridgefield track and field, won the shot put (62-0) and discus (169-10) at the McMinnville Invitaional.

• Lucy George, Camas track and field, won the 100 hurdles (14.84), 300 hurdles (46.87) and high jump (5-6) at the McMinnville Invitational.
