RIDGEFIELD — Dancing With the Local Stars, a fundraiser for the Rotary Club of Three Creeks, is coming to Windy Hills Winery in Ridgefield on March 24. Six local stars will compete to benefit Rotary Youth Exchange, scholarships from the club, and community service projects.

John Blom, a Clark County councilor and broker with Hasson Co. Realtors; Clark County Councilor Julie Olson; Battle Ground City Manager Jeff Swanson; Scot Brantley with Clark County Public Works; Dene Grigar of Washington State University Vancouver; and Kelly Love of Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center will compete for best dance as voted by the audience and judges. Celebrity judges include Battle Ground Mayor Mike Dalesandro, La Center Mayor Greg Thornton and Rotary Club of Three Creeks President Susanne Holmberg.

“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to bring back this community favorite, and to have such a well-known group of local stars, in our first fundraiser,” Holmberg said in a news release. “This is going to be such a fun event.”

First Dancer owner Ralph Stevens is coordinating the dance instructors as well as emceeing the event. Dance categories are international, Latin and American. A three-course meal will correspond with the dances.
