A 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and assault Sunday after a stabbing that sent a man to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to the Vancouver Police Department.

Vancouver police were dispatched about 1:20 a.m. to a report of a disturbance with a weapon at the AM/PM at 1800 N.E. Andresen Road and arrived to find a man suffering from a stab wound and others still fighting in the parking lot.

Police said they gained control of the situation and were told that the person responsible for the stabbing had also assaulted a second person before running away.

A Vancouver police K9 team responded and located the suspect, Charson Lotius, 24, in bushes nearby. He was taken into custody and booked into Clark County Jail.

Police did not release the names of the victims in the case.

The case remains under investigation by the Vancouver Police Major Crime Unit. Police asked that anyone who may have witnessed the crime, or who may have additional information, to contact the Vancouver Police Department.
