Meadow Homes — Each year, the Vancouver chapter of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul provides complete turkey dinners to approximately 770 families during the Thanksgiving and Christmas season. On Nov. 18, society members distributed the dinners to 360 families. The non-perishable items were pre-filled by 19 students from the St. Joseph Catholic School, and 50 volunteers delivered or distributed the boxes. On Dec. 16, the society provided 410 Christmas dinners to local families in need. Families who picked up their meals on that day were also treated to breakfast and a chance to pick up gifts, which were donated through the Giving Tree.
