Clark College will host a traveling museum exhibit and a guest speaker in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

The Black History 101 Mobile Museum will be on display from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Jan. 17 in the Gaiser Student Center on Clark’s main campus at 1933 Fort Vancouver Way. The exhibit will focus on the events of 1968, the year King was assassinated, and how they shaped American culture.

Professor Griff, one of the founding members of hip-hop group Public Enemy, will give the keynote address at 1 p.m.

The event is free, but Clark asks guests to bring a nonperishable item for the Clark College Penguin Pantry and the Share House Backpack Program.
