Vancouver gym-equipment maker Nautilus Inc. will break into the business of live, online fitness classes with a newly announced partnership.

The company on Wednesday officially launched a partnership with LIFT Digital, developer of an online fitness platform offering live personal training to groups and individuals. Sessions will first be offered to Bowflex Max Trainer customers before rolling out to other Bowflex product customers, representatives said.

“Our partnership with LIFT allows us to offer live training and guidance to our customers in a vibrant fitness community that helps them make the most of their Bowflex equipment and achieve their goals faster than ever,” said Aaron Brotherton, senior director of marketing for Nautilus, in a prepared statement.

Group sessions, which last 30 minutes, can include yoga, muscle endurance and cardioclasses. Classes are limited to 12 people, to allow participants to receive personal feedback.

Last year Nautilus launched a series of workout videos produced by partner Daily Burn.

Nautilus, traded on the New York Stock Exchange as NLS, closed trading Wednesday at $12.75, up 5 cents.
