Central Park — The Clark College Foundation won two Council for Advancement and Support of Education awards recently.

The foundation won a silver award for “The Universe Speaks,” a story in the summer 2016 edition of Partners magazine. The story followed Cody Messick, a Clark graduate, and a scientific team that helped discover the sound of black holes colliding more than 1 billion years ago.

The foundation also earned a bronze award in the fundraising publications category for a high-end booklet, “The Impact of Giving to Clark College Foundation: A Report for the John A. and Helen M. Cartales Foundation.”

Foundation representatives will be honored during a luncheon on Feb. 8 in Seattle.
