In 2016, Washington voters solidly rejected I-732, the carbon tax; now Gov. Jay Inslee wants to do an end-run around the will of the voters and implement a carbon tax. If this tax were enacted, would consumers quit driving to the store or stop turning their thermostats up when it’s 40 degrees outside? I think not. Thus, we would still burn the same amount of carbon, while living with another tax on consumers. I said no to I-732, and I’m saying no to Inslee.
