Voting, sponsored by Athletes Corner, continues through Thursday

Here are the nominees for The Columbian winter sports prep athlete of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the week ending Jan. 20.

Voting will continue until 8 p.m. Thursday, with results announced in Friday’s edition of The Columbian.

To avoid vote manipulation, voting is restricted by IP address, one vote per IP address. That means people voting while connected to a public WIFI access may be unable vote. We suggest voting be done by private internet access or through your cellular provider.

HUNTER ECKLUND, LA CENTER BOYS BASKETBALL: Ecklund scored 19 points and 25 points in two league wins as La Center won its sixth straight.

JACOB FLANAGAN, WOODLAND BOYS WRESTLING: Flanagan won four matches, three by pin, in winning the 195-pound division at the Kalama Rubber Chicken.

BECCA GUNDERSON, COLUMBIA RIVER GIRLS BOWLING: Gunderson average 190 over six games, including a high game of 244 last week.

JAX PURWINS, CAMAS GYMNASTICS: Purwins won the vault, bars and beam to post an all-around score of 37.7 in a meet at Northpointe.

BROOKE WALLING, PRAIRIE GIRLS BASKETBALL: Walling averaged 21 points over three games last week and scored the game-winner at the buzzer vs. Rogers.
