Boys basketball: Washougal 60, Hockinson 49

The Panthers kept pace in the hunt for a postseason berth after holding the Hawks to single-digit scoring in the second and third quarters in their 2A GSHL home victory.

Carter Murray paced Washougal with 22 points and Moses McEwen added 14 as Washougal improved to 4-5 in league play. After Hockinson outscored Washougal 15-9 in the first quarter, the Panthers held a 19-point lead entering the final quarter.

Peyton Brammer led the Hawks with 21 points, including 8 of 9 shooting at the free-throw line.
