A Yacolt man died pushing his disabled car from the road on state Highway 503 south of Amboy Tuesday afternoon, according to the Washington State Patrol.

State troopers said Yacolt’s Keith B. Sneed, 66, was heading south on Highway 503 when, around 1:30 p.m., his 1996 Ford Contour broke down just south of the Yale Bridge.

A good Samaritan joined Sneed to help him push the car out of the roadway, but shortly after, Sneed suffered some kind of medical event, according to the state patrol.

The good Samaritan performed CPR on Sneed until medical crews arrived on the scene, but they were ultimately unable to revive him. Sneed died at the scene.

His car was impounded for safekeeping.
