Letter: Hope Ape Cave vandals get caught

Even though the “artists” behind the graffiti in the Ape Cave probably had most of the night to throw up their tags, their art is super wack (“Graffiti a growing blight on Ape Cave,” June 7, The Columbian).

Who wastes a trip driving there and hiking far into a cave so they can make such a sad attempt? I’ve seen better art scratched into the mirror of a truck-stop bathroom. Seriously, who wastes a felony vandalism charge on such a pathetic attempt? I hope they get caught so they can spend a few years in prison practicing their artwork and thinking about what a stupid thing they’ve done.
