Letter: New site for courthouse

By Ron Rushford, Vancouver

The Shintech Inc. property at Southeast 34th Street and 176th Avenue, with 115 leasable acres, would make a perfect home for a new Clark County courthouse, campus and park. Our current courthouse, built in 1942, is far away from a big majority of us.

As a longtime resident of Clark County, I have seen our municipalities grow in ways that are not as efficient and representative as they could be. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to improve our government and quality of life.
