Letter: Blatant child abuse

By William Gerald Bennett, Vancouver

So the United States Department of Health and Human Services and the Border Patrol are making no effort to reunite the 2,300 children and toddlers they forcibly took from their parents. This act was blatant child abuse. I can’t decide if it represents meanness or the incompetence that is indigenous to the present administration (probably both). The other possibility is they don’t know where the children and toddlers are (and don’t care). It’s Boko Haram in America, folks. Vote for Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler, R-Battle Ground, and her fellow travelers if you approve of this outrage.
