Evergreen, Battle Ground basketball teams compete in Special Olympics

Clark County — Students from Evergreen Public Schools and Battle Ground Public Schools participated in the Unified Special Olympics Winter Games, March 2-4 in Wenatchee. Evergreen High School and Battle Ground High School both sent basketball teams to the Winter Games. The state tournament also featured alpine and snowboarding, cheer leading, cross country, speed skating, figure skating and snowshoeing. Unified sports brings together athletes with and without intellectual disabilities on the same team to compete together.
