Update: The disabled vehicle on southbound Interstate 5 was cleared about 9:10 a.m.

Original article: A disabled vehicle is blocking the right lane of southbound Interstate 5 near state Highway 500, according to traffic alerts.

Washington State Department of Transportation reported the blockage at 8:27 a.m.

Traffic maps show stop-and-go traffic beginning just south of the freeway’s 78th Street exits.

Officials said delays are expected until further notice.

There is a delay traveling northbound, too. A two-vehicle crash at Milepost 18 near La Center has the left lane blocked, according to a tweet from Washington State Patrol trooper Will Finn.

No injuries have been reported in the northbound crash, Finn said.
