Letter: Make meetings available to all

By Delores M. Anderson, Vancouver

This is in response to “Residents give good grades to Vancouver” (March 6, The Columbian).

The participants in the 2017 Community Survey were definitely not the richest, but not the poorest, either. The news story said that 67 percent haven’t watched a meeting on CVTV in the last year. Maybe those people are like me — unable to afford cable TV. Meetings should be broadcast so all of us poor people can see them. But maybe our leaders don’t care what we think.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
