Spanky’s Legendary Consignment in Vancouver will have a shred day April 7 that benefits the Clark County and Oregon food banks. In exchange for getting documents securely destroyed, people are asked to bring a donation of food or $5 for every box of documents.

This is the seventh annual shred day for the store, which has locations in Vancouver and Beaverton, Ore. Spanky’s Vancouver location is at 13503 S.E. Mill Plain Blvd. People can shred documents between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Last year’s shred day yielded the largest turnout so far. Over the years it’s raised more than $4,000 and 2,800 pounds of food for the Clark County Food Bank, according to a news release.
