Clark County firefighters headed to the scene of a crash south of Yacolt on Thursday morning and found a vehicle off the road, standing upright against a tree.

Fire District 3 responders were dispatched shortly before 7 a.m. to 22100 N.E. Lucia Falls Road, a winding rural roadway featuring steep embankments. Dispatch logs show Clark County deputies helped with the response.

“The driver went off the road trailing down an embankment and hitting a tree,” according to a fire district Facebook post.

Bystanders helped the driver get out of their wrecked vehicle as responders arrived on scene. And despite the dramatic photo, the driver walked away with minor injuries.
