WASHOUGAL — The West Columbia Gorge Humane Society goes through a lot of kitty litter, and staff at the Washougal animal shelter were happy to accept a donation of 11,000 pounds of it recently from World’s Best Cat Litter. Company representative David Uhrich was on hand to make the donation. “I reached out to David to let him know we were running dangerously low on cat litter. He felt confident he could help us and urged me to apply for his company’s “GiveLitter” shelter partner program,” wrote West Columbia Gorge Humane Society Executive Director Michelle “Micki” Simeone. “I was pleasantly surprised when 11,000 pounds of litter showed up at our shelter within days of making the request.” As a bonus, World’s Best Cat Litter also provided the shelter with cat adoption kits with an 8 pound bag of litter and a $5 off coupon toward a future purchase. “World’s Best Cat Litter is a superior product and we are fortunate to have them as a community partner,” Simeone wrote. Words Best Cat Litter has also worked with the Oregon Humane Society in Portland for the program.
