A Vancouver couple and a Battle Ground man were arrested Friday on drug charges, following a clumsy attempt to sell prescription drugs.
Battle Ground police responded when a local medical clinic reported an “unintentional voicemail” from a man attempting to arrange a drug sale.
Enough information was left on the message for police to set up a phony purchase, at which point they apprehended three subjects and found a large amount of prescription drugs.
Donald P. Burruss, 40, of Vancouver, was charged with intent to deliver legend drugs. He remained in Clark County Jail on Saturday, with five outstanding warrants.
Katy J. Burruss, 38, was charged with intent to deliver legend drugs, and possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Greg L. Johnson, 40, of Battle Ground, also spent Saturday in Clark County Jail, on a meth possession charge.
Friday motorcycle wreck
A Vancouver man remained in serious condition Saturday at Southwest Washington Medical Center after a motorcycle accident in north Clark County Friday afternoon.
The Sheriff’s Office said John Orday, 34, of Vancouver, apparently failed to make the turn from Northeast 88th Avenue onto 379th Street, where he lost control and fell shortly before 6 p.m.
The crash near the View district is under investigation, with alcohol a possible factor, the Sheriff’s Office said. |
