Pearl Harbor survivor Bernard DeGrave of Vancouver salutes during the singing of the national anthem at Tuesday’s annual observance of the Pearl Harbor attack. DeGrave was aboard the USS Montgomery, which headed out on patrol barely two hours after the attack started on Dec. 7, 1941.
