Penny Ross, secretary of Vancouver’s Pearl Harbor Survivors Association, rests her hands on the shoulders of Pearl Harbor survivor Rich Hatton during Tuesday’s observance at E.B. Hamilton Hall on the Vancouver Barracks campus. The Vancouver veteran was an anti-aircraft gunner on the USS Worden when the attack took place, but it took 30 minutes to get ammunition, he said.
