Vancouver’s Kevin Ellis, 18, a senior at Catlin Gabel High School in Portland, won a $50,000 award at the recent Intel International Science and Engineering Fair in San Jose, Calif. His work to advance critical computer software, much of it taking place in his Arnada home, has earned high praise and scholarships for study at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
