Lynn Valenter, 50, starts the new fall semester Monday at Washington State University Vancouver as interim chancellor. A 14-year veteran at the Salmon Creek campus who has guided budget and operations departments, she sits on a search committee to find a permanent replacement for founding Chancellor Hal Dengerink, who retired in June.
