Rora Te, 5, looks through a telescope to see some trees before the start of the Perseid meteor shower at Rooster Rock State Park. The Vancouver Sidewalk Astronomers, Oregon Museum of Science and Industry and Rose City Astronomers sponsored the Perseid watching party, where members brought large telescopes to share with the public.
