Rora Te, 5, looks through a telescope to see some trees before the start of the Perseid meteor shower event at Rooster Rock State Park on Friday August 12, 2011. The Vancouver Sidewalk Astronomers sponsor a Perseid watching party Friday night where people from the Rose City Astronomers brought large telescopes to share with other and allow them to see the meteor show close up.
