Jamie Partridge, from the National Association of Letter Carriers, protests Wednesday in, Portland. Local Postal Service workers gathered on the Hawthorne Bridge on Tuesday morning to protest possible service and staffing cuts. The Postal Service, founded in 1775, may go into default on Dec. 16 unless the government intervenes in some way.
