The City of Vancouver held a demonstration of new wayside horns for residents living near the railroad crossing on Chelsea Drive in June 2010. The horns are directed at the intersection and make less noise than the train horns. Vancouver is still on track to silence the train horn blasts in several areas, but it's taken a lot longer than planners expected.
