Vancouver Mayor pro tem Larry Smith, center, leads the charge into the newly renovated Artillery Barracks Building at the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site during a ribbon cutting ceremony Friday. Smith, a retired Army colonel, once served at Vancouver Barracks.
