Evergreen High School students Kelsie Slagle, 19, left, and Sabrina Hanson, 14, cut siding for a cottage they are helping build in a mathematics course introduced this year. Mountain View High students are constructing an identical, 504-square foot house. Working to minimize waste, as well as energy-efficient components, puts the “green” into the Math in Green Construction class.
